The Lords hand in my life.

have you ever had one of those days when you can see the Lords hand in so many of the things you do? well yesterday was like that for me. well i guess we should start with tuesday night.

tuesday was a great day! work went well, i bought my first pair of TOMS (so excited), I went to institute which always makes for a great evening, i even got to talk to Jodi on the phone!, but later tuesday night i ended up having one of those self-pity/my life sucks kind of nights. (idk, maybe i'm the only one that has those nights and if so... let me tell you... they are not fun... and they are not from the Lord) so i finally just went to sleep (around 1am) so i didn't have to mentally fight with myself about my self-worth.

Wednesday morning i woke up at 6:30 and could NOT fall asleep for the life of me. i immediately thought 'i should go for a run'. i thought it 3 times before i realized that was definitely a prompting from the Lord. so i got up and went for a run. it felt AMAZING! i love the weather we have been blessed with here. it is phenomenal. and because i was up so early, i still had my normal amount of time to shower, get ready, etc. AND i had to go in to work earlier than usual. so i was able to go to work, figure out what i was gonna do with my client in the afternoon. on my way to school i stopped and got gas and decided 'what the hey, i've got time, i''ll get a car wash too since it's super dirty'. well, i found out that my wonderful Gloria (my car) got 39 MPG on the last tank of gas! i dont know what is going on with her, but i am NOT complaining! that is the best milage she's ever had! so the car wash was more of a reward for her! you know.... i need to reward positive behaviors. (ha. ha. it's a car. not a child. i know that, don't worry!) so then i was off to work. except i was STILL leaving a half hour too early! so i stopped and got some Jamba. holy buckets the oatmeal was so great. and i have a new favorite!: Pomegranate Pick-Me-Up. divine! and THEN i was off to work. my kids were so great yesterday!! they were all productive, i got my testing done. it was all great. then i went to DBH. that work was surprisingly productive! i found out a ton of information that i needed, connected myself with more resources, and helped my clients! my skills session wasn't the greatest, but i think that lesson was for me more than the client. I needed to re-focus on Random Acts of Kindness so i can start incorporating it into my life again. after work my roommates home teachers came over, they are guys that were in my old ward that are now in my new ward. they are funny guys. i made banana bread tonight!! first time ever! and let me tell you, it smelled DELICIOUS!! and it tasted nearly as good! probably because Melissa had the brilliant idea of putting chocolate chips in it. so that made up for the lack of nuts. i was having a frustrating night because i was waiting to hear from two guys. and i refused to text either first, but i wanted to so SO bad! so i had to socialize with my roommates so i wouldn't think about it. So we watched Arrested Development! my roommates said i needed to be educated in the ways of comedy, and i loved it! it was SO funny! and not nearly as crude as i thought it would be. it was exactly how i needed to spend 4 hours of my evening, to distract me. I also helped Melissa with her big midterm assignment while we watched. i ALSO got a text from one of the guys. still frustrated. but it's okay. haha then i finally decided to go to sleep. and thankfully, i fell asleep pretty dang fast for me! (must've been the long day i had)

okay. i know that was a long story, and you probably didn't read it, and that's fine. that's more of a journal moment than a blog moment. i apologized. but what i'm really getting at: is seeing the Lords hand in my life. He prompted me to go running. That started my day off on a great note. i was energized and excited about life because i'd gotten myself up and moving. i had time enough for everything i had to do all morning (and then some) because i was following His suggestions. His hand in my life can DEFINITELY be seen in my house and my roommates. As i've said before, I KNOW this is where i need to be at this exact moment. It all fell into place too perfectly to be anything but the Lords help in this move. And that excites me SO much, because i know that means He has something big in store for me!! and i feel like things have already gotten better. I'm dating/flirting far more than i ever did. i'm socializing and meeting so many people. i have phenomenal roommates. i live in a great location. my house is SO nice. so i know this is where the Lord wanted me to be right now. but the ironic thing is: every time i think about the questions i want to have for conference the first thing that always comes to mind is "is this where the Lord wants me to be right now?" and since that has happened (with no thought of my own) i am definitely taking that one to conference because the Lord wants me to get an answer to that one. (even though i am SO scared of what that means if the answer is no) but oh well, i'll cross that bridge when i come to it.

raise your hand if you're excited for general conference this weekend!! *raises hand, jumps up and down* i am SO excited. i'm kinda torn, because we have a ward service project  saturday morning, so i'd miss the first session of conference. and since i missed half of conference last year because i was sick and going to urgent care, i really wanted to see as much of it as i could this year. so i'll pray about it.

do you have your questions for conference? no?! well you better get on that! i know, i do too! i only have one so far. but i will have more by saturday. :-)

kk. i need to go eat some b-fast and read my scripts. sorry for the random, long pointlessness.

hope you have a great day!
