every time i start thinking about what to write, i just go back to how happy i am to be here. I know that is the Lord blessing me for being where i'm supposed to be. Maybe this is the happiness after the stress/tears/lack of sleep/down trodden self confidence i had when i first moved here and got rejected time and time again from jobs. well whatever the reason, i'm loving the blessings!
Tony and i schemed this morning as he drove me to work, how we could convince mom and dad to send the CR-V out for him and i. OH SHUCKS! i just realized Tony wont be able to come to the halloween party with me on saturday. he has to work all night long. BLAST! i was looking forward to him being there. i hope i can figure something out.... or else i'll be going alone! darn it. that reminds me, i need to figure out what i'm gonna be for halloween. we can dress up at school on friday. i'm thinking of just tweaking costume from the last two years. instead of being a Wisconsin fan (that's not really a costume... cuz i really am) to being a Ronaldinho fan. i have a Barcelona jersey of his. i cant actually BE him. because i'm not black, with long hair, and mad MAD futbol skills. so i'll just be a fan! hahawork was lame-o today. my 5th grader moved. SAD. she was my fav. that just means i'll get a new kid soon! yay.
my co-workers said something about it dropping 20 degrees tomorrow. eeks! (okay okay, a high of 52 tomorrow) so after i got home from the Sprint store. (i tried to get the ball rolling on my new iphone, but i'm too poor to buy it at the moment.... friday is the day i start the order!) anways, after tony dropped me off i decided to go out back and enjoy the weather. i figured hey, i'll call the house and see who answers. sure enough... daddy was home! we talked and talked. over an hour i think. i love how much we talk about sports! at one point i said "i dont know if heard it on ESPN or from you dad but...." and then i said something. yep. that's how much we talk sports. haha he just laughed at my idea of bringing the CR-V out. THAT wont be happening. lol my father is absolutely soccer obsessed. he wants to make a trip to Kansas City, Denver, AND SLC for playoff games. lol. love that guy. but tickets for saturday evenings game are only $35. maybe i should skip the ward halloween party and go to the game instead. i TOTALLY would. but i have no desire to go alone. blast. oh wells. maybe i'll go alone anyway haha.
i had a $3 dinner tonight that was AMAZING. baked potato and snicker salad. <3'd it!
FHE tonight was so great. i'm so glad i was able to go. Brady and i ROCKED at fooseball!! (thus the title of this post) we rocked it even more because we were at the disadvantage most of the time. haha SMURF is such a fun game. i love how much you can get to know people just by hearing how they answer questions.
i dont know how i lived 22 years of my life with out walking/jogging/running. it is such a great thing! it's so great.. maybe it's my adrenaline, maybe it's just the music i listen to. but whatever the reason... i always ALWAYS want to break out into dance. one day it's actually going to happen. and i know i'll be laughed at my everyone driving down the street. but i dont care. i love dancing. and it's like once you turn 18 and are out of YW/YM... you dont dance anymore. and that is FALSE. Ash and i were talking about this yesterday. she always had ward activities that ended up being dances. i never have! i want a dance SO BAD! not... one girl dancing to thriller in front of a tv while everybody else tries to watch the music video. but a for real dance. i think i will just have to have my own... on a sidewalk... in centerville... at 10pm. haha
have you ever heard of Shel Silverstein? oh dang i sure hope you have! he was a childhood staple at our house. all his books of poems. totally cracked me up. well, i just re-read one of his books that was given to me.. last fall? i can't remember. from my best friend Tiffany. and it is such an amazing book. she wrote in the front/back "when ever you read this book, think of dating." "you are complete! you dont need anyone else to complete you!" That book has been so inspirational and motivational to me. it's basically saying: you can't just wait around for the perfect person you're missing. you have to continue on in life by yourself, and then you'll find someone else that is going on with their life too. man, i can't say it as good as Shel can. so if you haven't read it. either A. rent it from the library. or B. borrow it from me. it'll be worth the 3 minutes it takes to read it.i love crunchy leaves. i run with my headphones blasting upbeat confidence building music. but i can still feel it when i'm running over crunch leaves and i absolutely LOVE it. that is what fall is all about!
okay. well. i'm sorry if you read this whole post.
love you!
p.s. i love not being on facebook. i dont always know what everyone is talking about (like when everyone was thanking Grant for the stop lights around conference) but i feel like i have gobs more time than i used to. to do useful things. like talk to my daddy. or pintrest. or craft. or blog. or run. yep. love it!
