i have waited so long for today. i secretly coveted Lynn and Janson for having iPhones for so long. and then eric and ash got 'em too. i was silent but inside i was wanting one so bad. so finally i got my iPod Touch and that helped calm my desire. but as soon as Gilly told me Sprint was getting the iPhone in October i screamed! well guys. today... i have my iPhone. i'm not trying to brag, i just wanted you to understand how excited i am. i haven't had my hands off it almost all night. my first official action as an iPhone owner was to call my sister! who else to call except another iPhone lover. i wanted to call my dad. but i figured he'd be jealous and upset that he has to wait till March. hahaon to other news: i love my job! have i said that before? cuz i do. i love seeing how excited kids get when they can read, and write, recognize high frequency words, etc. it just makes me feel so useful and meaningful. before our training meeting my supervisor walked into our room and said "i just got chills guys, looking into this room and seeing all these amazing women here, getting ready to learn how to impact the lives of children' and it really is such a wonderful thing we are doing. it may seem like a simple task, but this will affect the rest of their lives. think about how much reading/writing/spelling etc has to do with your every day life. i may not use the hugest words, but you still prolly wouldn't be able to read this blog. you wouldn't be able to read the awesome scroll text on Star Wars. you wouldn't be able to do SO much stuff. i am doing life changing work. i love it!
tonight Ellie came over, again. it was fun! we watched New Girl, and then we watched Rent! it has been ages since i watched that. it took me back to senior year. all my drives to Port with Bixby. Before the movie started i was thinking about all the major things that the movie talks about. HIV/AIDS, drug addiction/withdrawls, drag queen, homosexuality, death, homelessness, love. In the society i currently live in, most of these things are severely looked down upon. but this movie portrays these subjects in such a different way than the way we see things today. i'm used to hearing about HIV and AIDS as statistics, and something sad that happens far away from me. But how often do you think about the actual people that are infected with such a terrible disease? it affects so many people, we forget to think about the individuals. homosexuality: the hot topic of this country. It looks like next week Glee is gonna get pretty intense about that. i'm excited! I think people should be allowed to love whoever they do. i find something like Hugh Hefner and his 20 something girlfriends more disturbing than i would ever find homosexuality. is that bad? i dont think so.
man. i'm talking about the serious stuff today. it's otay. i seem to do that a lot. sorry about my rants. and my opinions. well. i'm not sorry.it's my blog. i can if i want to. haha
alright. well. tomorrow is gonna be a busy one! work. then another major work meeting. i thought i had all this starting work nervousness over. but i guess not! now that i'm finally starting my second job, i'm getting nervous all over again! eeks! :-/
you know what i just realized? i love Ryan Reynolds and i still haven't seen the Green Lantern! that needs to change. i also want to see Captain America again. the new x-men movie. and i guess i should see Thor. and... the Hulk that came out a couple YEARS ago. haha i should see that too. man. apparently i'm getting sick of chick-flicks. i need a man! hahaha :-P
