holy awesome sunday!

what was my life like BEFORE every day was awesome? cuz i honestly can't remember. but i can tell you that today was seriously one of the longest days i've had in a long long time.

coming home at 3:30 in the morning really wasn't the greatest idea considering i had to get up at 8:00 to get dinner going in the crock pot. i made moms amazing Skier stew for dinner. it was absolutely amazing. okay, moms is better... but this wasn't half bad. i walked in after church and BOOM. i felt like i was walking into my house at home, drenched from snow, unable to feel my frozen toes, rosey cheeks, out of breath from running around in snow. the smell of skier stew is one of those memories i hope i never. ever. forget.

church was AWESOME! i went early to meet about our Dinner Groups for the ward. Kenny and I got them all assigned. we'll see how that goes.

sacrament meeting was so great. yes, i did cry. It's hard not to cry when people talk about their experience with, and the joys and blessings from adoption. Ellie and i both sat there crying. I feel like that is a bond and an experience not everybody can understand. my life would be so unbelievably different without foster care and adoption. and i dont even like to think about that, because my family would not be complete with out my brothers. i loved that the over all theme was for us to know how much Heavenly Father loves us. and the fact that they were all inspired to speak on that with no prior suggestion was astounding to me. Heavenly Father really really wanted to remind us how much He loves us.

i love that i finally know people in the ward. now i can stand around for an hour after church talking to people, instead of just leaving right away and never meeting anyone. and talking to people is so entertaining!

Ellie came over this afternoon and stayed for dinner. it was way fun!.

i loved having everybody together for dinner. it was nice last week to have a kinda smaller group, but i loved having everybody again. i missed my brother and sister. dinner turned out AMAZING!!

so we had a Bountiful YSA stake fireside tonight. Jon Schmidt performed two songs  and Sheri Dew spoke. how AMAZING is THAT?! i know. i wouldn't ever even have imagined something that awesome in WI. and now, boom it just happened!.

Jon Schmidt seriously almost brought be to tears. his music is so beautiful. and Sheri. she knows just what to say. i was so excited to hear from her, because more than almost anyone else.. i KNOW that she can relate to us. okay, sister oaks too. but still. there's something about being able to hear from someone that truly understand your concerns, prayers, desires, and fears. she had awesome stories and insight that could blow your mind. She challenged us to read the Book of Mormon by New Years Eve. she said 'if you do it, i'll do it' and 'you don't think you have enough time? you do"

and i immediately mentally accepted her challenge. i'm excited to do this.

i got to talk to tony a little bit tonight. in a car full of people. But it was still awesome to hear him asking questions about my life, and truly caring about the answers. he really does love me. i had two of my brothers questioning me about this guy i went on a date with. haha. tony was so cute and got all defensive. what a fun little brother.

ooo a shout out congrats to my baby brother for getting his third letter in soccer. one more year left!

it finally hit me today that thanksgiving is this week. i feel like we dont have enough snow, enough cold weather, and idk. i just haven't felt like it's winter. maybe because i haven't been looking forward to this break all semester like i always did at school. lol. but it finally hit me. tonight i wrote a few thank you cards to people that are important to me. to say thank you for everything.

well after such a busy weekend, i have a laundry list (literally and figuratively) of things to do tomorrow. so i need to send out an email and be on my way to bed. after i do some calculations on the book of mormon and the time we have to read it.

sweet dreams world.
