me: tonight.
when was the last time you roasted starbursts?
me: tonight
when i heard bonfire i thought 'oh great, this is gonna suck' (since i'm allergic to marshmallows) so i showed up with half a bag of starbursts. i decided long ago i can't just grumble that i can't have anything provided, i just need to bring something myself. so i brought some and they were a HIT! for awhile more people were roasting starbursts than marshmallows. i taught a couple people the art of it.
roasting on candle flames is still better though.
remember my last post when i said i wanted to go see all those people but i didn't deserve it? i totally do.
i deserve to be happy.
always.
happiness isn't a gift it's a right.
so i went to see jodi for lunch on tuesday. Olive Garden. sitting in a park talking. it was amazing.
on thursday.. i made a spur of the moment trip to Provo. sat in Sammis apartment talking. helped sammi make dinner. ate dinner with sammi and jeff. it was so great to see her.
i love those two. so much.
you know who else is amazing?
my cousin liz.
she lets me be her tag along until i can get my feet on the ground.
Utah owned BYU this weekend. most of the Jeffersons came over for the game. lots of people. Ash came. we sat on the couches talking instead of watching. i think i had a ton more fun than being a BYU fan.
i love ashlyn.
sunday after church Carol asked us what could be done to help visiting teaching in the student/singles wards.
this spawned a 3 hour talk about visiting teaching, enrichment activities, relief society presidencies, and relief society in general. it even moved into being married and being single.
carol took notes.
Alyssa, Ashlyn, Liz and I all ranted. it was awesome. i feel like it was a bonding experience somehow.
Carol and Heidi made cranberry cake today.
i can't believe i didn't like it for all these years.
i love the music on my blog. i'm sorry if you don't. but i do. i'm listening to it right now.
to be honest: i'm almost slacking on my job searching. i had a really great interview last monday for a davis behavioral health job. i thought my experience with ODD and carol as a reference i had it in the bag. (especially since they were hiring 2 or 3 females) but i didn't hear anything on friday like they said i would. Mary dennis found a really awesome job for me too. and i applied on thursday. a lady i emailed said 'you sound perfect for the job!' but i haven't heard anything either, but it's only been a few days. i feel kinda confident about that one, and i haven't even heard anything.
i need to start working out. i think the exercise (i can't spell that word for the life of me) would help me: A. look better. B. be happier. C. be healthier. anybody have any suggestions?
moral of this post: i am doing so much better. i'm not stressing so much. i'm trying to have fun. i'm making the most of my situation.
i'll leave you with a picture i found (didn't take) of one of the greatest ideas ever:
