what a week!!

on wednesday I GOT A JOB!!
i'll be working at Backman Elementary in rose park, ut. my job title is Interventionist. I'll be working in the special ed classes. i honestly have no idea what i'll be doing. tutoring or something? not totally sure. but i'll let you know on tuesday cuz that's when i start! it's 19.5 hours a week. 8-1:30 4 days a week? they dont know if it'll be shorter hours 5 days a week or those hours 4 days a week.

wednesday night we went to Cheesecake Factory for Alyssas birthday. it was fabulous. i got this chicken and asparagus meal with mashed potatoes. it was divine. and i got White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cheesecake. it was heavenly. seriously. it's what will be served for dessert in heaven. i guarantee.

i also got a TWO calls about setting up other interviews. all on wednesday. it was a day i felt very blessed.

thursday i cancelled an interview because i accepted the backman elem job. then i got another job interview set up. i went and wasn't too interested. but tony and i played! we watched Captain America at Gateway. we went down to visit Ash at work. Eric stopped by on his way home from work. i love seeing them. they are the greatest.

today MOM AND GRANDMA COME!

i cleaned my room all morning. i showered. i got a call (a week late) offering me a second job!! I GOT A SECOND JOB! this will be after school with Davis Behavioral Health. working in the Children and Youth. i will be teaching life skills. it will be up to 19 hours a week, depending on the kids.

i feel unbelievably blessed!! i got two jobs in one week! i will now be working approximately 39 hours a week! i am so excited.
ALL of the applications. all of the tearful hopeless nights. all the hope and determination. they all payed off. i finally succeeded!

my dad texted me and said "you're so talented!" and i think i am.

but i also have experience. one interviewer this week said 'you should go thank your brothers' because they have given me crucial experience to helping me get these jobs.

i also thanked my mother. for giving me life experiences that have helped me succeed in these jobs. living in the culturally diverse Hawaii. adopting Tony and Eli. being partially diverse myself. it has all paid off.

i feel so blessed.
