should i be asleep right now? most definitely.
have i spent the last two hours researching curly hair techniques, hair stylists, and hair cuts? yes.
i'm gonna go buy a book tomorrow called The Curly Girl Method. we'll see if i can do it. it sounds awfully complicated and probably involves all sorts of expensive products. but i figure, i'm blessed with this amazing hair.. i need to make the most of it.
i want a hair cut so SO bad. ash is going tomorrow, and i may go and see if anybody else is available. we will prolly go shopping after. i'm excited. i need new jewelry, Forever 21 here i come!!
i want to dye my hair. SAMMI WE NEED TO GET OUR DYE ON!... i'm thinking.... dark. LYNN... ash had a good thought about your purple hair idea.... i want to talk to you about it... think... Eggplant purple!
i had breakfast for dinner last night with jodi! it was so fun! it was great to talk to her. she is amazing. fact.
tonight was so interesting, in a good way! i spent the evening with my cousin Angie, my cousin-in-law Alyssa, and my sister-in-law Ashlyn. woah, i just realized they all have A names. well, i have two a's in my name.. so i'm okay, right? :-P but it was so FUN to be together. we all have very VERY different personalities, but we all mesh really well. it makes me even MORE excited for the Florida weekend! because we will be able to see ALL of our girl cousins and our aunts and grandma. and we will ALL be together. and we will ALL be talking about fun things. and there... i wont be the only unmarried girl. it's not like that's all we talk about. but it's sure hard to be part of a conversation about how much your husbands love to do the dishes, if you dont have a husband. just sayin.
tonys friend posted a picture today that said "the longer you're single, the more you start to think there's something wrong with you" idk if i totally agree with that. but sometimes.. it's hard not to. and like i was telling jodi the other day, i used to joke with my friends and say "i think, therefore i'm single" and it was funny. and now i don't have many people to joke about that with, because most of my friends ARE married. i'm not trying to say that they're stupid, just that i'm smart enough to not be in a bad relationship. i could be married right now. and this isn't one of those 'i don't know where i'd be if i had gotten married' moments. i know where i'd be. i'd be living in Poplar, MT. married to a high school social studies teacher with overpoweringly strong opinions. and very VERY bad taste in fashion. i wouldn't have a degree. i would've spent a year in a sketchy part of Vegas living with my father in law and his new wife. My closest family and friends would secretly be saying 'she's not happy with him' and 'they dont look good together' and i'm pretty sure... i'd be miserable.
SO i KNOW where i'd be if i had gotten married. and all i have to say about it is THANK GOODNESS! i'd take single for the rest of my life in comparison to that life. no joke.
i am thankful for all the experiences i've had in my life. the places i've been, the people i've met, the lives i may have changed... and the lives that have changed my for good, the success i've had. it has all made me who i am today. and i'm thankful for everything.
i realized today, while i was getting Case Management training, that this is kinda my dream job in some ways. it involved: being the person that understood a childs psychological disorders and was able to represent the child/parents in schools, teach the teachers what that disorder means to them and the child and how to help them communicate, etc. I saw so many frustrating times for my parents because of the lack of one of those. (along with some poor employees at the school. what kind if IDIOT school counselor seriously tells a kid that he wont graduate from high school!?!?!?) i'm so glad tony proved the jerk-face wrong! back to my CM realization... i WILL be doing that. kinda. not always. and not exactly. but i will be working with families. and getting them in communication with schools, community resources, and anything else i can do to help the families work with their children better. as nervous as i am, i am finally excited about my new job.
alas. i will be leaving the house in less than 7 hours. i better get some sleep. maybe TOMORROW i'll be able to start my NCIS marathon! dun dun DUN!
OR maybe tomorrow i can do a photo shoot of Ash, with her new hair cut!? *shrugs* idk. but i really REALLY need to take pictures. SOON!
WHO WANTS TO LET ME TAKE THEIR PICTURE!?
alright. sweet dreams!
